The Music Production course is designed to give students a comprehensive understanding of the skills and knowledge needed to produce music.   • Recording: Microphone techniques, signal flow, and the use of digital audio interfaces. They will also learn how to record various instruments and sources, such as vocals, drums, and guitars.
  • Editing: Edit audio using industry-standard software such as Pro Tools, Ableton Live, and Logic Pro. Topics covered will include basic editing techniques, such as cutting, copying, and pasting, as well as more advanced techniques such as comping and sample replacement.
  • Arranging: Create a structure for a song by arranging different elements of the song, such as verses, choruses, and bridges. They will also learn how to use MIDI and virtual instruments to create and edit musical parts.
  • Mixing: How to balance and enhance the various elements of a song, including drums, bass, vocals, and other instruments. Topics covered will include equalization, compression, reverb, and other effects, as well as advanced techniques such as parallel processing and automation.
  • Mastering: Learn the final stage of music production, mastering and how to use tools such as EQ, compression, and limiting to achieve a consistent and polished sound across all songs.
