Sound Design
The Sound Design course is designed to give students the skills and knowledge needed to design sound for film, television, video games, and other media. Topics covered in this course include: sound effects editing, foley, dialogue editing, and mixing. Students will learn how to use industry-standard software and tools such as Pro Tools and iZotope RX. By the end of the course, students will have the skills needed to create professional-quality sound design for various forms of media.

- Editing and Processing: This section of the course will cover the techniques used to edit and process recorded sound, including EQ, compression, and reverb. Students will learn how to use industry-standard software such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro and Ableton Live to manipulate audio.
- Synthesis and Sampling: This section of the course will cover the basics of synthesis and sampling, including the different types of synthesis and how to use samplers. Students will learn how to create their own sounds using software and hardware synthesizers.
- Sound Design for Film and Video Games: This section of the course will cover the specific techniques used in sound design for film and video games, including foley, ADR, and designing sound effects for interactive media.
- Advanced Sound Design Techniques: This section of the course will cover advanced topics in sound design such as granular synthesis, spectral processing, surround sound design, foley, field recording, and 3D sound design.
